Image-To-Mesh Conversion for 2D Gene Expression

Description: The I2M Tool for  Drosophila gene expression pattern image analysis  is  a mesh generation pipeline for helping to map the expression patterns of many genes into the same geometric space. The method is based on fitting an ellipse to the boundary of each embryo using the least squares criterion. An average of the fitted ellipses for all images in the same stage range to obtain a generic ellipse. An interpolation of the boundary of the generic ellipse and a Delaunay mesh method  are used to generate a triangulated mesh.
